Paraguay says Autonomy proposal 'very important initiative'
Add a brief title Morocco's project of granting autonomy to its southern provinces, the Sahara, remains a "very important initiative" to settle the Sahara issue, visiting Minister Advisor to Paraguayan president, Alejandro Hamed Franco, said on Sunday,Following a meeting with the Moroccan Foreign Minister, Franco told the press that Moroccan officials gave him explanations about the autonomy proposal, which confirm that the project is a very important initiative to settle the three-decade-long issue,Franco said he was upbeat about the future of bilateral relations, noting that the two countries are endeavouring to bolster bilateral cooperation and implement the agreements signed in this regard.

For his part, Foreign Minister, Taib Fassi Fihri, said the meeting was an opportunity to inform the Paraguayan official about the latest developments in the Sahara issue. He also pointed out that the Latin American country reacts positively to the autonomy proposal.
