The Chairwoman of the Moroccan Association of the Women for Development (AMFED), Hajbouha Zoubeir stressed on Wednesday the significant contribution of the Sahrawi woman in the development of the southern provinces.

With full access to education, the Sahrawi women greatly contribute to the human development in the southern provinces, thanks to a "real development strategy" that this part of the country witnesses, Zoubeir underlined during a conference on "the evolution of women entrepreneurs in Morocco, the woman of the south in particular."

Such contribution, she went on to say, could not be possible without the action of a number of associations which believed in the importance of civil society in the development within the large-scale anti-poverty National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).

Zoubeir who is active in the "Association Synergie Sakia El Hamra," said the southern provinces, since their return to the motherland, have benefited from a real development strategy with modern infrastructure, mainly roads, hospitals, schools, airports, and sports fields.

She also added that this part of the country is ready to take up new challenges regarding renewable energy and national and international investments.
