The Rehearsed OHCHR Report AND Algeria’s Hidden Interventions

The new OHCHR report was a slap to our diplomacy not to the Moroccan Legitimacy over its
territories, if one must criticize constructively the situation in the Sahara, the truth must be said and it consists of one major fact the MOROCCAN DIPLOMACY. With strategic alliances and historical friendship plus being America's oldest friend our diplomacy still finds obstacles to defend itself against an enemy not worthy of Morocco's notoriety and fame.

Polisario is backed blindly and unequivocally by Algeria, this is a known fact and their legitimacy is not bought by any superpower, but their approach to issues and their consistency and presence throughout the world creates nuisance to Morocco’s diplomatic maneuvering, this should not happen especially that we are one of the most recognizable nations in the world and our diplomacy needs only a little work to make friends and build alliances based on the legitimacy of our cause and our weight in the region and the Arab world. Now on the other hand, the OHCHR report was obviously manipulated and orchestrated by Algeria and unfortunately the US (Our old friends found new friends in the region and we all know why). The important point in this mingled situation is that our diplomacy did not point out the pitfalls of the other parties and their far-from perfect track record in Human Rights.

Algeria which has been cleansing the country from the Islamists after they won fair and square the elections somehow inspired OHCHR
to criticize Morocco for its human rights imperfection, a country recognized as the most democratic country in the region and in the Arab world. Algeria and the OHCHR should see the development of democracy in Morocco, freedom of journalism and equal rights to women being drafted and implemented for the first time in the region.

OHCHR should applaud Morocco’s steps in this field and the US should join in. If western countries are so keen in introducing democracy in the Middle East and North Africa, they should consider the Moroccan model because it is a domestic product, no foreign intervention. This model is perfect because it is simple, gradual and peaceful. There are 23 Arab countries; I do not think that OHCHR would appreciate 23 Iraq wars to satisfy its agenda, so the Moroccan model is what OHCHR, USA and any nation that genuinely advocates democracy for the well being of the people in our region need and should appreciate it when it is implemented without loss of lives and collateral damage caused by forced democracy. On the other hand if OHCHR forgot Algeria's track record of total abuse of human rights, we are here to refresh their mind:

300,000 Algerians lost their lives tragically in the civil war,Morocco never used this tragic conflict to trouble its neighbor but if we are cornered we should start point the fingers too; there is a massacre in Algeria and OHCHR start its work there. Algeria's double game is too obvious, on one hand it seeks international legitimacy and on the other it arms itself with sophisticated weaponry and sometimes illegal and dangerous WMDs. If Algeria plays behind the scene a game of legitimizing this issue, it arms itself on the open and from the guardians of peace in the world the five permanent members of the security counsel.

One must conclude that these weapons are meant for two targets: Morocco and to quell the uprising of the Algeria people. Morocco is comfortable in its land, building, planning and developing and any intimidation or dirty maneuvering from the other party will not deter our great nation from going ahead.
